Happy Birthday Pops!

Pops,
I know you worry about all of us, not just your sons, but you nieces and nephews, you brother and sisters, all of us. But it isn’t out of fear that you worry but out of love. And if there’s one great truth you have taught me is a father’s love for his sons and daughters, a love for his family, is unconditional.
All those years of walking your mail route, enduring the heat of the summer, and the bitterness of the winter, just to give us the things you never had as a child can never be outdone by us as we grow older but can be used as a guideline as we start our own families. Over the years your light has guided us so much and you have only asked us to do what is right by you and that we find within our hearts our own light to follow.
You may not see it directly but each of us, your sons, have a little bit of you in us. Even Serena has noticed how much I am a reflection of you, not just in looks but in the way I carry myself in different aspects of my life. And she is grateful for the way you have raised me and how you have shown her about the true meaning of family. She knows that one day I will become a great father and family man, carrying on the lessons you’ve taught me, and continue to teach me, to our future children.
Happy Birthday, Pops!
I love you!
Your son,
Jeff
