CBS Interactive’s New TV.COM
by LoneWolf on Jan.13, 2009, under On Teh Internets

TV.com has been revamped by CBS interactive after CBS acquired the site from the CNet billion dollar purchase last year. Now the site has grown into a video portal similar to FanCast and Hulu, allowing users to watch episodic content of their favorite shows. Beyond watching videos, CBS is hoping to build upon the community of the site’s members by allowing registered users to comment on shows they have watched via the site’s forums. Site visitors can also catch up on the latest tv news, look up shows, the tv schedule for their area, as well as view pics of their favorite celebrities. One of the funniest things I found out is that TV.com is setup to compete with FanCast and Hulu, and one of the way it’s doing that is by pulling some of it’s videos from Hulu.
Personally, Hulu is still my #1 stop to catch up on tv shows I may have missed or want to see again. I don’t need the user interaction and other bells and whistles TV.com distracting me.
