Batman: Arkham Asylum Trailer
by LoneWolf on Jan.30, 2009, under Nerd Alert
WOW.
This game is starting to look more promising. Hopefully we’ll get to see more gameplay footage as we get closer to release day. I’d like to see how the detective portion of the game plays out along with the different types of gadgets Batman will have at his disposal.

p.s. The Dark Knight totally should have been nominated for Best Picture at this year’s Oscars. That film got snubbed big time!

It’s New Comic Book Day!
by LoneWolf on Jan.29, 2009, under A Comic Book Guy and His Comics

This week’s visit to the comic book store proved to be more fruitful as I went back issue hunting for the Robin # 177-181, the final story arc before the series ends with issue # 183. Final Crisis and Final Crisis: Revelations is also coming to an end and I have high hopes for an epic conclusion as Marvel’s Secret Invasion was a complete disappointment. Serena picked up a graphic novel that caught her eye as well a little damn hero that screamed, “IMPULSE BUY ME NOW!” She also picked up The Art of Paul Duffield (FreakAngels) as well as the latest issue of Sketch magazine. Gotta find some time this weekend to bag/board and organize this month’s and last month’s comics.
- THE ART OF PAUL DUFFIELD
- ASPEN SHOWCASE: EMBER
- BATMAN # 685
- CAPTAIN AMERICA # 46
- ECHO # 9
- FINAL CRISIS # 7 (OF 7)
- FINAL CRISIS: REVELATIONS #5 (OF 5)
- JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA # 23
- THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES # 50
- ORANGE TPB Graphic Novel
- ROBIN # 178 – 181 (still missing # 177)
- RUNAWAYS # 6
- SKETCH Magazine
- TEEN TITANS # 67
- TRINITY # 35
- WOLVERINE: FIRST CLASS # 11
- X-FORCE # 11
- X-MEN: WORLDS APART # 4
- YOUNG X-MEN # 10
SERENA’S IMPULSE PURCHASE:

It’s the Serenity Little Damn Heroes Mal Animated Maquette!
“I aim to misbehave.”
With these words, Malcolm Reynolds, captain of the Firefly-class transport Serenity, let loose upon the Alliance the kind of retribution only a man with nothing to lose can exact. Now Mal, the man of action, is captured in this limited-edition, hand-painted Serenity Little Damn Heroes Mal Animated Maquette, designed by well-known artist Adam Levermore-Rich, creator of the Blue Sun Travel Posters and the best-selling Battlestar Galactica Propaganda Posters.
The 4 1/2″ resin statue shows Mal ready for action: Gun drawn and browncoat billowing behind him as if he’s just taken a bead on some Purple Belly who’s earned his righteous ire. Details in the Serenity Little Damn Heroes Mal Animated Maquette include screen-accurate sculpts of his boots, suspenders, and even his pistol.
Only 1,000 limited-edition “Aim to Misbehave” maquettes will be made, after which this design will be retired forever. “Aim” is the second in a series of QMx Little Damn Heroes Animated Maquettes, celebrating the spirit of Serenity’s crew (and maybe a couple of their most noteworthy enemies, as well). ~ via TFAW
