Yahtzee Reviews FEAR 2
by LoneWolf on Feb.25, 2009, under On Teh Internets
Following the tradition of horror movies sequels, FEAR 2 is a sequel with just with a tad prettier visuals, more blood, more characters you’ll care less about getting killed, but with even more plot holes and absolutely no closure. So unless you’re one of those horror fans who praise all the Friday the 13th sequels and the recent remake of the first one, FEAR 2 is a game to rent, not to own. But if you’re like me and get easily creeped out by the games ambiance and the even creepier Alma, then avoid this game at all costs. Even playing the demos was a bit too much. Zombies, I can handle. Creepy telepathic little girls out for vengeance are the stuff of nightmares that wake you up at night covered in sweat.

Another Reason To Love CHUCK

Caught up with CHUCK on Hulu during lunch today. If there’s one thing that definitely stands out above the rest of this show’s awesome qualities, it’s the soundtrack. I’m not just talking about the opening credit song, “Short Skirt Long Jacket” by Cake, I’m talking about the song you hear in the episodes. It’s like that perfect compilation CD you never skip through. It’s great for long drives, long days at work, or just to play in the background of your life.
Last night’s episode featured ‘Jeffster’ covering Toto‘s “Africa”. Here’s a nicely done youTube video of the song put to clips from Disney’s The Lion King.
I’d definitely drop some money on 2 disc set of the tunes from CHUCK‘s 1st season. Sure I could compile the CDs myself using the Internets for reference. But I’m kinda lazy, not to mention OCD. All the tracks would have to be at the same bitrate, format, loudness level etc., etc. I’ll just wait. I’m sure if NBC wants to milk more money out of the show they’ll do it as long as the artists get a nice cut of the profits.
