The Mile High Club (20G) is the toughest achievement to get in Call of Duty 4. And this was the last one I needed. As you can see from the above video, you have exactly 1 minute to get to the VIP being held hostage. I spent nearly all of today grinding at this level. But I finally decided it wasn’t meant to be today. I called it quits (temporarily) as I was starting to get sloppy. With Modern Warfare 2 already announced, the trade-in price for COD4 is sure to drop substantially over the next several months. Game$top is currently running a tiered trade-in promo where if you max out at 6 or more trade-ins you get 40% more credit. And if you have their EDGE card, you get another 10%. So that’s 50% more.

So before I picked up Serena. I gathered the 4 GBA games I had left, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and COD4 and traded them in. With the $60 in credit I had (after the promotions and EDGE card kicked in) I picked up Chronicles of Riddick: Assault On Dark Athena. The first one, Escape From Butcher Bay, which came out on the Original Xbox, was a great game. I absolutely enjoyed playing the hell out of that game. And since Butcher Bay has been redone and included on the same disc as Dark Athena at no extra cost, it’s like I’m getting 2 great games for the price of one!

As an added bonus, since I’m one of the many slaves employees of Game$top, I ended having $9 extra after my discount. So I put it towards my BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM reservation. Which is a smart thing since I’m getting the Limited Edition and need to start paying it off over the next two months. ;p

I’ll end up buying back COD4 when it’s dirt cheap. It will surely become a platinum hit by the holiday season. I won’t just be picking it up again for that last achievement, but to play it all over again. It’s one of those great games that’s fun to play no matter how many times you’ve beaten the single player campaign. The multiplayer is fun too, but only when you’re playing with friends.
