It’s New Comic Book Day!
by LoneWolf on Jun.18, 2009, under A Comic Book Guy and His Comics

Yesterday’s trip to the comic book store was entertaining as usual as we discussed how we didn’t like the inevitable return of Steve Rogers. We all didn’t think we would like Bucky as Captain America, but he’s grown on us. To have Steve return and take back the shield just doesn’t sit right with us. Granted, it’s too early too tell if that’s what will end up happening, but after reading Captain America # 600, it looks like it may just play out that way. I want Steve to stay frosty (dead). It just doesn’t make sense for him to come back. If it’s leading to something bigger, and Steve is essential to that plot, I would bring him back, but not as Captain America. I’d bring him back, but incapacitated somehow that he can no longer be Captain America. Hell, I’d stick with Nick Fury as his # 1 and squad leader of the Howling Commandos. Now that would be cool. At least, Jean Grey is still dead. Now if only Marvel would kill Mephisto to negate Brand New Day.
