It’s New Comic Book Day!
by LoneWolf on Oct.29, 2009, under My Other Reality
Lots of great DC Comics picked up today! BLACKEST NIGHT continues to shake things up in the DCU with BLACKEST NIGHT # 4, BLACKEST NIGHT: TITANS #3, and GREEN LANTERN # 47. Also in the DC pile are ever-growing Batman titles. This week it’s BATMAN, DETECTIVE COMICS and my newest title added, GOTHAM CITY SIRENS.
With imitation being a the sincerest form of flattery, Marvel’s X-titles cross over through NECROSHA, starting this week with NECROSHA ONE-SHOT and continues in NEW MUTANTS # 6.
When the dead and buried mutant past comes back to haunt the X-Men, can the combined might of the three X-Teams stop death itself?
So yet another undead uprising begins. But just how well does it compare to BLACKEST NIGHT? We’ll be finding that out throughout the rest of the year and into Spring 2010 when this arc concludes.

Summer’s hottest event explodes in this critical issue! Hold on to your power rings, because the secrets behind the Blackest Night finally stand revealed! While Earth is evacuated, Hal Jordan embarks on a brave journey to the darkest depths to uncover the truth behind the Black Lanterns! You won’t believe what he uncovers!
Continuing the best-selling epic from superstars Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis!
So far I’ve been enjoying this series and it’s tie-ins. It’s a little more straight forward than FINAL CRISIS, and a lot more interesting than SECRET INVASION. With only 4 issues left, I’m hoping for the story to reach a high peak, if it hasn’t by now, and end with a really impressive conclusion.
