R.I.P. Pandemic Studios (1998-2009)

It started out as a rumor but the folks over at slashGamer have confirmed that EA has shut down Pandemic Studios for good. Joystiq has shed some light on the nature of the closing as well, saying that the brand and its IPs (Mercenaries, Star Wars Battlefront, The Saboteur, etc.) will continue on under EA’s LA studio in Playa Vista.
Thank you for the many memorable gaming moments I had with Full Spectrum Warrior series, Star Wars Battlefront series, and the Mercenaries series as well as the catchy promo song for Mercenaries 2 above. Here’s hoping for all those employees that have been affected, continued success in their future endeavors.
