Inauguration Dinner 2009
by LoneWolf on Jan.20, 2009, under Culinary Artwork

Serena had the day off on this historic day, so after watching all the pomp and circumstance during the day, we hit Jewel after I got off of work to buy some ingredients for our very own Inauguration Dinner Celebration. So we decided to have some pan-seared salmon fillets, bacon wrapped scallop medallions, with some rice pilaf and steamed veggies. Prepped and cooked by the both of us, we had a good time in the kitchen and obviously enjoyed eating the end result!

Our First Korean Feast!
by LoneWolf on Dec.30, 2008, under Culinary Artwork

Last night, after watching the ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8′ episode (there was a viewer’s choice marathon on all day) where Jon cooks the family a mouthwatering Korean dinner of BBQ’d beef, fried rice, and some kimchi, Serena and I decided to try out Solliphana’s Korean BBQ which was next door to our stylist’s studio (who also happens to be Korean and recommended it to us). It was a slow night at the restaurant so we didn’t have to wait. In one of the more secluded dining areas we saw a nice family cooking and dining away. Since this was our first time there, we decided to have the food prepared for us rather than cook it ourselves. That way, the next time we go, we’ll know when we’ve cook our meats properly.
We both ordered Gal Bi and we each got a serving of white rice and soup. The meal also came with 8 sides that we shared. Yes, 8 sides were delivered to our table, all to compliment our Gal Bi, white rice and soup. I tried to take a pic of the spread with my cell phone. It’s a bit blurry, but your mouth will definitely water just staring at all the culinary delights laid before us.
For our first time experiencing traditional Korean BBQ, we had a great time and definitely ate ourselves into a coma. Lucky for us, this restaurant isn’t too far away from our apartment. We made home in time to let the food coma set in and catch some more Farscape.

Saturday Breakfast of Champions: Cheese Omelette with Taquitos
by LoneWolf on Dec.01, 2008, under Culinary Artwork

Was cleaning out my digital camera memory and came across this pic I took of a breakfast I made for myself a few Saturdays ago. Who says taquitos are a mere snack or appetizer before dinner? Whip up a cheese omelette as the Taquitos cool to a crispy hotness from the oven, serve with some salsa and guacamole and you’ve got yourself a very hearty Mexican breakfast!
