It’s New Comic Book Day!

by on Jan.14, 2011, under A Comic Book Guy and His Comics

I had a great time hanging out at Keith’s Komix today. I helped him organize all his Monsterpocalypse stuff so that he has easy access to his monsters and units whenever he plays on Game Night. Tonight’s pick up is loaded with great reading from DC Comics. After listening to Sidney’s serious, and rather explicit, rant about how Marvel’s creative team on Black Panther: The Man Without Fear sucks, I’m glad I left DareDevil when I did. It would have been a waste of time and money to have stuck with the title with the ‘it will get better’ attitude and witness the horrible changes leading up to Black Panther Kitten moving into Hell’s Kitchen.

The rest of the evening was pretty awesome. Serena stopped in after she got out of work and brought me a Frosty from Wendy’s. Sidney and I played a great game of Monsterpocalypse which came down to the wire as my Lords of Cthul battled his G.U.A.R.D. army. I had the match in hand but my Cthulabite units failed to land the finishing blow on the Ultra Laser Knight, giving Sidney the opportunity to finish me off with his G-1 Strike Fighters.
