This week is a bit of a huge week coming after Serena’s awesome debut at C2E2! We are both glad we didn’t spend too much money at the show. We stopped in at Keith’s Komix yesterday afternoon to pick up our books and two well deserved collectibles as sort of a ‘Job Well Done’ gift to ourselves. Serena picked up the FIREFLY LITTLE DAMN HEROES HOBAN WASHBURNE maquette by Quantum Mechanix Inc., and I picked up the HALO REACH NOBLE SIX action figure by PLAY ARTS KAI. I also picked up the sketch cover variant of FF (Future Foundation) #1 to add to our small but growing pile of sketch cover comic books. My plan is to hold on to them and let Serena do a detailed sketch on each of the covers once she’s even more famous!

Wolverine has always promised to be there for Jubilee but with her held hostage as collateral in a place where not even Fedex delivers, he’s going to have to play along to try to get her back. Wolverine is headed into a dangerous Siberian dead zone to do a job that no one else can or will do to retrieve a package that defies description. And Jubilee is about to come face to face with the man responsible.

The Holidays tend to keep everyone busy during the last three weeks of the year. Serena and I have been busy with work, battling colds, and attending family celebrations. I didn’t get a chance to post the pick ups for the two last weeks so I’ll be combining those with this week’s pick up. Lots of great reading as usual and with 2011 just around the corner, it looks like there will be a lot to look forward to, at least on the DC side of things. I haven’t kept up on Marvel’s X-titles since Necrosha but from what I’ve heard, I didn’t miss much. I did start picking up Uncanny X-Force since it’s initial storyline isn’t part of whatever the X-titles are tied into (I think the other X-titles are currently fighting Dracula [LAME]). If I get that bored, maybe I’ll pick up the trades for all the stories after Necrosha.
