I’m looking forward to a, hopefully fun, New Year. Hoping for change that will probably not happen as more of our freedoms are taken away. But I’m trying to remain as optimistic as one can who doesn’t pray to some higher power like most of world’s population.

Regardless of what happens that is beyond my control: another war, the rich getting richer and the middle class and poor getting even more poorer, higher taxes, shitty healthcare that I can’t even afford, and whatever else may loom on the horizon, I’ll do what my cousin, Frank, taught me and that’s just plain living life to its fullest, doing whatever makes me happy.

And so I’d like to end this New Year post with a few words written so eloquently as only Warren Ellis can:

As we leave 2009 and enter 2010, we must look back on 2009. Through whatever hardships have hit us, let us learn what we can from these events for the knowledge gained will benefit us in this new year. Whatever victories and triumphs we have achieved this past year, may these, no matter how big or small, give us the confidence to push on toward the battles that may lay ahead.

Well there goes 2008. A year much like 2007, 2008 was year that should have been better. So what’s do I have to look forward to in 2009? Well, other than another year of life on this mudball of a planet, I am going to be an uncle. I will be 20 years with 12 years xp (experience) in March. And if there aren’t any more god forsaken financial setbacks, maybe I’ll be able to take Serena to San Diego for the 2009 Comic-Con. Hell, maybe we’ll take a frillin’ vacation.

As far as resolutions, I’ll continue to keep the resolutions that are easiest for me to keep:

• Live life to it’s fullest.
• Work to live and not live to work.
• Work like the money doesn’t matter.
