Halo Reach VGA Premiere Trailer

by LoneWolf on Dec.13, 2009, under Nerd Alert

I didn’t watch the VGAs last night. I don’t really care much for award shows. Like videogame reviews, the VGAs are biased and overrated. They cater to only what is popular, not giving other games that have been worked on just as hard any chance for recognition. Games like Borderlands and Saboteur are left out of the limelight because of overhyped games like Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2.

I didn’t even watch the VGAs for the world premiere trailers. I knew they’d be up on youTube the next day anyway. Instead, I played and finally finished Assassin’s Creed II. A phenomenal game that deserves way more credit and praise than just a Best Action-Adventure Award.

HALO REACH’s world premiere trailer was the only trailer I was interested in seeing. Even though it doesn’t show any gameplay, I am very excited about this game from just the above cutscene. If players are given the option to customize their in game Spartan with different armor sets like in Halo 3’s Multiplayer, that’s cool. What would be even cooler is if I can paint a skull or any other symbol on my EVA helmet or any part of my armor, allow me to customize my weapon load out, and include a perk system in a similar way like Modern Warfare 2 during Multiplayer sessions.
