2010′s Game of the Year Is Almost Here!
by LoneWolf on Jan.20, 2010, under Nerd Alert
I know it’s too early to say that Mass Effect 2 is 2010′s Game of the Year, especially with titles like Splinter Cell: Conviction, Final Fantasy XIII, and God of War III still looming in the horizon, but to me, Mass Effect 2 doesn’t seem like it will be overshadowed by those titles as well as any other outstanding and highly anticipated title set to release this year. I’ve been playing the first one all over again just to re-experience its awesomeness. This will be my 6th playthrough of the original Mass Effect with a totally different character that I created.
With what looks like an even more engrossing story, some new characters and returning favorites, and some solid action RPG gameplay like in the first one but with some new features, what more could you want from a Game of the Year title?

More Mass Effect 2 Awesomeness Revealed
by LoneWolf on Jul.10, 2009, under Nerd Alert
Another highly anticipated title, Mass Effect 2 raises the bar in the action/rpg cross genre brought to you by BioWare. Players step back into the role of Commande Shepherd who is on a suicide mission. As always, the story sounds real deep and even more epic than the original Mass Effect. Beyond the new story, new gameplay elements like physics-oriented combat, new powers like ‘Pull’, more reliance on the use of cover, an interrupt system during interrogations, and a more immersive travel system involving fuel consumption and allowing players to scan the planets they come across.
There’s no official release date for Mass Effect 2. So far the game looks like it’s developing just fine. Definitely keep an eye on this title. Thanks to GameTrailers for the video!
