In case you are like me and are following way more people on Twitter than they should be, you probably missed the tweet shown above. Modern Warfare 2′s Prestige Edition will be priced at $149.99. For those who favor Game$top for their pre-orders, you’re looking at having to deposit at least $25 to guarantee your reservation. Don’t dwell on whether or not you’re going to reserve this too long. Quantities will most likely be limited and taking reservations for this version will most likely get axed at some point in time.

For $149.99 plus whatever your sales tax is, you’ll be getting:

- Night Vision Goggles with display stand
- Steelbook case
- Behind the Lines of Modern Warfare 2 Artbook
- Call of Duty (original game) download token

I had already tweeted the link but I figure I might as well blog about it since it is indeed blog-worthy. Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward Community Manager, unboxes the Prestige Edition of the highly anticipated sequel to CoD Modern Warfare. As you can see, this pretty much tops the Halo 3 Legendary Edition because the NVGs (night vision goggles) are working and wearable. However, the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition has yet to be priced. If the NVGs are more than just a redesigned kid’s toy but just under military grade hardware quality, expect the price of the Prestige Edition to be closer to the $200 mark. I’m guessing at least $149.99. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was priced closer to $200.
