Via The Hollywood Reporter:

Disney has agreed to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion in a deal that brings Marvel’s portfolio of 5,000 characters, from Spider-Man and X-Men to Captain America, the Fantastic Four and Iron Man, under the Disney umbrella.

I’m just as shocked as you are. I trying to wrap my thoughts on this listing various pros and cons. The only remark that has stood out so far from my brief skim of the internet is “Comic Apocalypse”.

Let’s hope these doom-sayers are wrong.

I stumbled across a link to an old contest on Worth1000.com in which users were to create box art for a fake videogame. I went through the entries and then decided to do one myself as a quick photoshop exercise. So in about an 1.5 hours I came up with this:

Materials used: Resident Evil 5 cover, picture of George Bush, and picture of Dick Cheney. Software: Photoshop CS4.

I think I’ll sign up to worth1000 and start entering some of these contests. The topics range from beginner to advanced difficulty and are pretty interesting.

One more week until this nation’s voices are heard and the votes are tallied. Do we really want more of the same from a McCain administration? Or will an Obama administration really bring about the Change everyone is hoping for?

I clearly don’t want another 4 years with an shady administration, let alone another president, whose head is so far up his own ass he doesn’t know he’s a puppet.
