Just got back from San Diego this past Tuesday night. Our first visit to Keith’s Komix since we left for vacation had 2 weeks worth of comic books waiting in our pull. So we decided to pickup half of the stack as well as set aside a few graphic novels Serena wants for references. I brought my laptop to show Keith our vacation pics and Serena shared her portfolio review experiences – from the awfully nice let down by Disney to the awesome one on one portfolio review with a DC Editor. This year’s trip to San Diego Comic-Con was a blast and we can’t wait to go again next year!

It was suppose to be a light week in comic books. But today’s visit was one of those: “Hey when did this come out?!” and “How did I miss this?!” days and what was a short stack of reading became a moderate stack of catching up. C’est la vie! Glinda the Good marshals her army for a clash with General Jinjur’s Army of Revolt in a last-ditch struggle for the throne of Oz. But where is Ozma, the rightful ruler? Since Mombi hid Ozma long ago no one has ever been able to find her.

So after an exciting weekend at c2e2 and a little recuperation, it was great to get back to the low-key atmosphere of my local comic shop, Keith’s Komix. We talked about c2e2, our likes and dislikes, but we all agreed that it was, overall, a really great Con. We also hope to attend again next year and Serena hopes to have a table there as well.
