It’s New Comic Book Day!
by LoneWolf on Jul.31, 2008, under A Comic Book Guy and His Comics

Keith looked truly exhausted having just come back from San Diego late on Tuesday only to have to get up early to pick the books and prep the store for yesterday’s pick up. He did manage to score some spoils of SDCC for us, including Micah Gunnell’s sketchbook (limited only to 50 copies). Micah is one of Serena’s favorite artists of Aspen Comics. Keith also got us a Big Bang Theory mousepad that shows off the cover art for the Season 1 DVD set. Knowing that I’m a big Halo geek, he got me the coupon code for the SDCC 08 Halo 3 action figure exclusives! My cousin, Wayne, had already gotten me one when he went to the con with best friend this past Sunday. So now I can has two sets! Muwhahahahaha! Thanks so much Keith!
This week we picked up:
- NEWUNIVERSAL: 1959 # 1
- WOLVERINE # 67
- WOLVERINE: ORIGINS # 27
- X-MEN: FIRST CLASS # 14
- X-MEN: ODD MEN OUT # 1
- DC SPECIAL: CYBORG # 3 (OF 6)
- GREEN LANTERN # 33
- JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA ANNUAL # 1
- TEEN TITANS # 61
- TRINITY # 9
THIS WEEK’S FIRST READ: WOLVERINE # 67
“OLD MAN LOGAN†Part 2
Logan owes the Hulk Gang. He owes them big, and they’re not the kind to let a debt slide, even for the guy who—50 years ago—called himself Wolverine. So Logan’s agreed to a crazy ride across America with the blind archer, Hawkeye, to deliver a package to the East Coast. First stop: San Francisco…but only if Logan and Hawkeye can make it past—the GHOST RIDERS. MARK MILLAR and STEVE MCNIVEN—the best-selling creative team of the 21st century—continue the biggest Wolverine story the future has ever seen!
[SPOILER ALERT!] Wow. One of the biggest revelations is one that doesn’t concern Logan. It concerns Peter Parker. It looks like he and MJ did not hook back up in Brand New Day or if they did, broke up or MJ died. Cause Peter’s daughter 50 years in the future is African-American, and is the 3rd wire of Hawkeye. So I guess you could say that old web-head went black and never came back. LOL
