Quick Thoughts: EA Says Single-Player Gaming Is On The Way Out
by LoneWolf on Dec.11, 2010, under Transmissions of My Life
Recently EA Games president, Frank Gibeau was interviewed saying, “Online is where the innovation, and the action, is at…”, claiming that the Single-Player Gaming experience is dying. That’s like saying that PC Gaming is dying when it actually is thriving just as much as console gaming thanks to digital download services like STEAM.
Multiplayer games are fun. I love the social connectedness of it all, but sometimes I just wanna lose myself into a really good single player storyline as seen in such series like Mass Effect, Fable and Assassin’s Creed. Sure, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has multiplayer, but that’s not why I love the series. I picked it up solely for the single player experience that Ubisoft did well to maintain and keep Brotherhood as looking like a multiplayer spinoff with a weak single player campaign.

“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me eight times, am I a f**king idiot?!” – Jon Stewart, The Daily Show
This makes me wonder how many other promises made by the President have been just rolled over from the previous administration eight or more times.

Remembering You Everyday…
by LoneWolf on Aug.14, 2009, under The Real Truth You Should Know, Transmissions of My Life

- Playing 21 in front my parents’ garage.
- Going for a drive in the Camaro.
- Softball.
- Sitting next you, both of us trying to play our clarinets at our family X-mas concert.
- Staying up late on the holidays.
- Talking about computer problems, always asking, “Did you check the BIOS?”
- Just talking, joking around, and laughing out loud.
- Listening to you play the organ and the piano.
- Seeing you carry yourself tall when it seems like you’ve got the weight of the whole world on your shoulders.
Missing you bro!
~ Jeff
